You can also book a mobile IV therapy session—we'll come to you so you can relax and enjoy treatment in the comfort of your own home. Mobile appointments are available on a limited basis.

  • What is IV therapy used for?

IV therapy treatments are used for a wide variety of reasons, and everyone's needs are a bit different. Infusions can be used to help, but are not limited to, boosting your immune system, recovering from a hard workout, and mitigating symptoms from acute or chronic health issues, just to name a few.

  • Is IV Therapy Painful?

The only uncomfortable aspect to IV therapy is the IV insertion. With being IV access specialists and having the ability to utilize ultrasound to place your IV,  the time it takes to place the IV is significantly decreased which commonly is the culprit for causing the discomfort.

  • Does IV therapy really work?

Yes!  By working with our clients and understanding their wellness/health goals, LIVation is able to formulate a plan tailored to the individual. This optimizes results and effectiveness.

  • What diseases are treated with infusion therapy?

There are a number of autoimmune disorders, wounds, and disease processes that vitamin infusion therapy can help.  Infection, skin diseases, Crohn’s, gastritis, hyperemesis, just to name a few.  Certain nutrients, when administered through the IV, can have immediate effects on the boosting of the immune system and assist with reduction of inflammation.  Most disease processes have an inflammatory response, good, bad, or indifferent.  Hydration helps with perfusion to help your circulation work more effectively and the nutraceuticals that fortify the infusion may help to provide regulation for more structured healing and ‘controlled’ inflammatory response.

  • How much does IV drip therapy cost?

Cost varies depending on the type of treatment you are looking to receive.  Our flagship We specialize in customizing a plan specifically for you, and would be more than happy to discuss and formulate a plan for you and your specific needs.

  • How long does IV drip last?

It’s different for everyone, but typically infusions can last 4-5 weeks when paired with a healthy diet and proper supplementation program. We offer a wide variety of supplements from Designs for Health, and can help recommend and guide you through what specific supplements you would find beneficial for your specific needs.

  • How often should you get IV therapy?

Frequency very much depends on what type of symptoms/issue the patient is treating.  When using IV therapy for adjunctive cancer therapy, infusions can be as often as 3 times a week.  For general wellness and health, we typically recommend receiving vitamin infusion therapy on a monthly basis.

  • Is IV Therapy safe?

IV infusion therapy is definitely safe when performed by a licensed expert.  The nutraceuticals being administered are nutrients that the body needs and provides superior bioavailability.  It is important to discuss any allergies to foods and medications, or health issues prior to IV Therapy to reduce the risk of complications.

  • What is the most common complication of IV therapy?

The most common complication of IV vitamin infusion therapy can be bruising at the IV insertion site. These complications can be greatly reduced with proper insertion technique and removal of your IV site, which is one of the things we are well known for.

  • Is IV better than drinking water?

Staying hydrated by drinking water is crucial to daily overall health. The difference between drinking water and receiving IV hydration is the fact that we are bypassing the digestive system. Many nutrients, when ingested, get broken down and don't make it to the small intestine for reabsorption into your system. IV hydration byspasses that issue and goes straight into your bloodstream for 100% bioavailability and benefit.

  • How long does IV vitamin C stay in your system?

IV Vitamin C can stay elevated in your circulation for up to 3 weeks after your infusion.  This is affected based on the individual’s body needs.  Oxidative stress, also known as the imbalance of free radicals to anti-oxidants in the body, is the determining factor that dictates how quickly Vitamin C will be used.  For example, when you are sick, your oxidative stress or burden is much higher than when you are healthy.  Other factors that affect levels are the liver’s ability to create Vitamin C reserve and how cells are absorbing Vitamin C for usage.

  • Does IV therapy work for weight loss?

Yes and no.  Depending on the nutraceuticals in the infusion, certain B vitamins have been proven to increase activity on the cellular level.  Amino acids, like L-Carnitine, can help the body burn body fat ahead of protein.  Like any weight loss, it boils down to running a deficit for the body. IV infusions boost metabolism, but if the individual begins eating more or continues to engage in unhealthy eating habits, the likelihood of successful weight loss is lessened.

  • What are the side effects of IV vitamin C?

Adverse side effects from Vitamin C therapy are rare.  The most common side effect is fluid overload associated with the fluid from the infusion.  Other side effects can be kidney stones (typically when a patient has a history of them), a jittery feeling right after an infusion, or tiredness post infusion.  This further supports the importance of working with licensed providers in tailoring a specific IV infusion or plan.  The vast majority of people who receive IV Vitamin C therapy have a positive experience without issues.

  • What's in a Myers Cocktail?

A Myer’s cocktail consists of ‘a little bit of everything.’  It typically consists of Vit C, B12, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, Magnesium, and calcium. This is generally a great infusion that can help with hydration and normalizing the body after overindulgence or a short bout of illness.

    Yes you can.

  • Will IV fluids help diarrhea?
