Dynamic Muscle Stimulation (DMSt).

Dynamic muscle stimulation is a unique form of treatment that uses electrical stimulation to activate different muscles in the face. The triLift DMSt applicator’s energy is focused on the muscles around the eyes, mouth, and jawline to create a lifted effect that smooths the appearance of nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and jowls. This is the first step in creating the look of a facelift without incisions or anesthesia.

Radiofrequency Energy. (RF)

The triLift uses a proprietary form of radiofrequency (RF) energy called TriPollar RF. With this applicator, radiofrequency energy is sent into the deeper tissues of the skin. The benefit of this is that it stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin. 

Collagen and elastin are the proteins in the skin that give its firmness and elasticity. By treating the face with TriPollar RF energy, skin looks less saggy and more sculpted, with less noticeable wrinkles and a more defined jawline. This step is critical to achieving a rejuvenated appearance similar to that of a facelift. The combination of dynamic muscle stimulation and radiofrequency energy is referred to as “Lift Mode” at LIVation in CT.

RF Microneedling. (RFMN)

triFX, or radiofrequency microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, creates small, intentional injuries to the skin with a series of ultrafine needles. These needles create tiny channels in the skin, through which radiofrequency is directed into the tissue, helping to produce even more collagen. 

The combination of these two treatments is beneficial in two unique ways: Delivering RF energy to the surface levels of the skin helps smooth and tighten the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while microneedling triggers both your rate of skin cell turnover (fresh cells) and your body’s healing response. This allows your skin to regenerate itself.

There is very minimal if any, the downtime required after a triLift session — most who receive the treatment can go back to work without any issues. Here, are some aftercare instructions on what you can use and what to avoid after your triLift treatment:

Excessive heat exposure

This could exacerbate facial redness or swelling as well as cause irritation. Sweating could increase your risk of bacteria exposure, making you more susceptible to infection.

Wearing makeup

Avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours. After the 24-hour period, you'll be able to apply mineral based makeup to your face.

Facials or waxing

You should also skip any facial professional treatments like chemical peels, facials, and face waxing for two weeks.

Use sunscreen

Microneedling can make your skin very sensitive to sunlight, so be sure to apply SPF regularly.

When undergoing triLift at LIVation, your treatment provider will meet with you for a consultation to assess your skin and work with you on a treatment plan to help you achieve your goals. While a triLift offers three treatment modalities that are often used together for best results, you can opt to skip triFX microneedling in favor of just “Lift Mode,” which combines radiofrequency energy with dynamic muscle stimulation. Schedule your free consultation. Contact us to set up a 30-minute consultation to determine if triLift would be right for you based on the severity of your skin and wrinkles.

Schedule your (5) week treatment appointments. If you’re a candidate and you’ll schedule a triLift treatment once a week for five consecutive weeks. Each treatment will be customized to your exact needs and goals.

Your facelift treatments begin. A triLift treatment begins with dynamic muscle stimulation that tones the skin around the eyes, mouth, and jawline. This stimulates them and starts the skin tightening process.

Next will be the radiofrequency treatment. Our providers will use the TriPollar RF attachment to direct radiofrequency energy into the deeper tissues of the face, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin and creating a more defined contour.

The step of the treatment will be RF microneedling. Our providers will next use the triFX radiofrequency microneedling attachment. These tiny needles will direct additional radiofrequency energy to the deep crevasses in the skin and promote collagen production.

We will assess your results at the end of your 5-week program. If you’d like to continue to tighten your skin or have yet to reach your goal, we’ll determine if more triLift treatments are the right fit for you.
